Channel IQ attends the October 2013 International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition Conference to provide thought leadership and dialogue in the online battle against counterfeiting goods.

Counterfeiting continues to be a growth business estimated at $600 billion a year according to IACC. The World Customs Organization estimates that between five and seven percent of all goods traded on the global market are counterfeit. In New York City alone, people buy $23 billion annually in counterfeit goods. These transactions often supports organized crime, drug trafficking, child labor and even terrorist activity.

CIQ’s conference attendance contributes to the open knowledge base at IACC in online brand protection and anti-counterfeiting. CIQ develops early detection tools which help prevent counterfeit transaction at the source.

The conference topics covered include boarder security, overseas litigation and foreign banks, transnational criminal organizations trade crime, intelligence based enforcement programs, disruption of online criminal networks, trademark enforcement, and cyber-espionage.
