With its eye-catching design and solid hardwood Amish construction, the Grand Central Pedestal Table is perfect for trendy dining rooms.

When it comes to a dining table that commands attention due to its impressive design and first-rate cabinetmaking, the Grand Central Pedestal Table from Brandenberry Amish Furniture of Shipshewana, Indiana, comes to the head of the pack.

The Grand Central Pedestal Table represents a modern take on the classic Mission design. Its pedestal base features an innovative combination of straight and curved vertical posts. And with no legs in the way – plus the potential to expand the table with leaves -- the table is ideal for entertaining families or groups.

Several novel features make the tabletop practical and visually appealing. The Amish builders created the tabletop from 1-inch solid hardwood. Three diamond-shaped inlays at each end enhance the table’s visual appeal. Also, the tabletop is boat-shaped (wider in the middle and tapered at the ends) for added elegance.

A geared equalizer slide mechanism in the tabletop makes adding leaves a breeze. With a tug on one or both ends, the tabletop opens evenly above the pedestal, allowing the addition of leaves. Since the pedestal does not move, homeowners don’t need to worry about rumpling the rug or scratching the hardwood floor.

Brandenberry Furniture offers the Grand Central Pedestal Table in widths of 42 or 48 inches by 54 or 60 inches long. The table is available as a solid top or with the capacity for up to two leaves. Also, homeowners wanting matching chairs can choose from Brandenberry’s collection of more than 200 chair designs.

The custom Grand Central Pedestal Table can be ordered through the Brandenberry website or customers can visit Brandenberry’s ‘brick and mortar’ store in Shipshewana, Indiana. The store is located at 1045 N. State Road 5 in Shipshewana, at the intersection of State Road 5 and US 20, near the Indiana Toll Road. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
