Pink Alliance is a non-profit organization formed in 2007 by five local women who are breast cancer survivors. Together partnered up with survivors, community members, and organizations around Brazos Valley, Pink Alliance continues to be totally volunteer, with more than 95% of the proceeds directly supporting those in need. All board members and volunteers provide services to the community without compensation. This organization would not be possible without the kind donations of many. The Pink Alliance website has many great features that help provide information about their organization. Some of those include a news and events calendar, easy way to donate through PayPal, photo galleries and an online contact and comment form. Once originally known as Brazos Valley Breast Cancer Support, the group partnered with the American Cancer Society to provide a portfolio of information given at the time of diagnosis by doctors in Bryan/College Station area. The Personal Health Manager contains pamphlets, books and other resources with relevant, useful information about topics such as pathology reports, chemotherapy, surgical options, radiation therapy, questions to ask the medical team, and locating items such as breast prosthesis and wigs. All of these features were made possible by AgniTEK.
