Best Selling Author Brian Cuban Talks Eating Disorders with Katie Couric

The segment features Brian discussing his lifelong struggle with Body Dysmorphic Disorder, a disease in which the sufferer is preoccupied with a distorted sense of self -image and is often afflicted with depression, addiction, and eating disorders, affecting as much as 2 percent of the population.
In Brian’s case, it resulted in a twenty-seven year battle with anorexia, bulimia, alcohol and drug addiction, numerous body cosmetic procedures, as well as steroid abuse. “Breaking through the stigma and shame shrouding so many males into silence is key in getting more to realize they are not alone and there is a path to recovery,” said Brian.
