Bright Kids NYC Releases Workbooks and iOS App to Prepare for the NNAT®2
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- Bright Kids has released three new supplementary workbooks for the NNAT®2. The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test – Second Edition (NNAT®2) comprises half of the 2013 Gifted and Talented Exam in New York City. It is designed to provide a nonverbal measure of general ability, and is administered for placement into gifted and talented programs throughout the country. The NNAT®2 does not require the student to read, write, or speak, so students must rely on reasoning and not on verbal skills to solve the problems presented to them. Understanding the content and the format of the test will enable children to perform to the best of their ability on test day.
The Spatial Visualization subtest requires the student to recognize how two or more designs would look if combined. Spatial Visualization questions are among the most difficult on the NNAT, particularly when they involve rotation, or shapes that intersect in ways that are difficult to recognize. The Bright Kids Spatial Visualization Workbook helps students become accustomed to the Spatial Visualization questions found on the NNAT 2. The workbook includes 60 figural construction and deconstruction exercises, 50 Spatial Visualization questions, and 20 advanced paper-folding exercises.
The Serial Reasoning subtest assesses the student’s ability to supply a missing element in a given matrix comprised of geometric shapes. These questions demand that the child recognize the sequence of shapes and determine which image correctly completes it. The Bright Kids Serial Reasoning workbook for the NNAT®2 – Levels A and B can help a student become accustomed to the Serial Reasoning questions found on the NNAT®2. The workbook includes 20 series exercises and 50 Serial Reasoning questions.
The Pattern Completion subtest requires a student to look at a design in a large rectangle with a portion missing and determine which of the choices correctly completes the pattern. The Bright Kids Pattern Completion Workbook for the NNAT®2 – Levels A and B can help a student become accustomed to the Pattern Completion questions found on the NNAT®2. The workbook includes 20 pattern matching exercises and 50 Pattern Completion questions.
Preparation for the Pattern Completion subtest is now available in the app store for iPhone and iPad with the Bright Kids NNAT®2 App. Test preparation has never been this easy or convenient!
