Bright Now!® Dental Honors Veterans in Escondido, California
In partnership with the Smiles for Everyone Foundation, Bright Now!® Dental provides free dental services to 65 veterans and their dependents.
ESCONDIDO, Calif., June 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Volunteers from Bright Now! Dental spent this past Sunday giving back to the Veteran community. Former soldiers were invited to the Escondido office to receive free dental care in return for their work in the armed forces. Many of these heroes are members of organizations such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Veterans Association of North County.
The Team treated 65 patriots, who each reported feeling highly appreciated at the event. Some even emphasized the urgent need for these types of programs. "We only get dental insurance if we're totally injured," says partially disabled veteran, Jessica L. "I am amazed that you all volunteered your time and experience to help. Thank you!" Douglas L. added, "What you do is awesome! It is so needed for the community, especially the vets."
Overall, the volunteers supplied over $40,000 of donated dentistry in the form of cleanings, exams, fillings, extractions, and more. The Smiles for Everyone Foundation would like to thank the entire Team, including Dr. Rachel Bui, Dr. Diana Franco, Dr. Julia Fosman, Dr. Jessica Hackman, and Dr. Ali Shahrokh, for gathering at the Escondido office from across the San Diego area. It was their hard work and dedication that allowed us to deliver Smiles to the patriots in California!
