BrightStar Care Gets Gold Seal of Approval
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) October 07, 2016 -- BrightStar Care Salt Lake City, a home care agency that also provides medical staffing solutions, recently announced that it has renewed its accreditation and has received the esteemed Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission, a nationally recognized quality standards organization for the healthcare industry. “Very few home care agencies achieve this accreditation and it demonstrates our commitment to being a leader in the industry,” said Tammara Brown, owner of BrightStar Care Salt Lake City.
Joint Commission accreditation requirements fall into two major categories: Standards and National Patient Safety Goals. Joint Commission Standards cover a variety of areas that are considered key to providing safe, high-quality care to patients and/or clients. Topic areas include medication management, leadership, staffing, equipment maintenance and fall-risk reduction. National Patient Safety Goals help providers proactively address key patient safety issues that can affect their business.
BrightStar Care is also a Joint Commission Enterprise Champion. “We just received this for 2016, so we’ve been awarded it four years in a row, and no other organization has done that ever,” said Brown. “BrightStar Care’s mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of those entrusted to our care; from our industry-leading employment standards to RN oversight on every plan of care, we are committed to the highest levels of quality and support.”
BrightStar Care, which was recently given the Provider of Choice award from Home Care Pulse, is synonymous with rigorous screening and training that is required for each of its caregivers. Each employee it provides must maintain the core values that BrightStar Care upholds, such as compassion, integrity, family, excellence, trustworthiness, accountability, and diversity.
