Brivo Labs is excited to announce that on November 11th their Director of Strategic Innovation, Mike Martoccia, will present at the 13th annual TopCoder Open to be held in Washington, D.C.

Brivo Labs, headquartered in Bethesda, MD is an Internet of Things company leading the way in the emerging Social Access Management market. The company unveiled its new website, brivolabs.com last week to showcase Rändivoo and the capabilities of their API platform. Using social identities, Brivo Labs develops innovative applications that connect virtual communities with physical spaces and devices.

At the TopCoder Open, Martoccia will demo Rändivoo, a visitor management system serving as an all-in-one solution for sending meeting invites, checking-in, badging, receiving notifications and obtaining digital signatures. In addition to the demo, Martoccia will provide a high level overview of how Rändivoo was developed, including what worked for Brivo Labs as a new company; the challenges encountered and how they were resolved. The process was a novel one as it involved competitive crowdsourcing utilizing the Cloudspokes and TopCoder platforms.

"Brivo Labs is investing in innovation and enabling people to use their social identities to interact with physical things," said Narinder Singh, President of TopCoder and Co-founder of Appirio. "The TopCoder community thrives at enabling the crowdsourcing model for companies like Brivo, and Rändivoo is an exceptional example."

“The competitive crowdsourcing model is highly efficient. It allowed us to go from concept to product with several robust and contemporary systems in very little time. The technical talent was on-demand and performed exceptionally well with our aggressively tight deadlines,” said Martoccia.

Martoccia, recently left Dopamine Inc., a New York City based creative agency where he served as Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer to join Brivo Labs where he has been involved with defining and leading the company’s development efforts.
