DENVER, Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Brodo Italian Scratch Kitchen, which offers a modern twist on traditional Italian dining, is hosting a free summer concert series featuring some of Denver's brightest new talent. "We are delighted to bring the creative sounds of local artists to our venue to make this the new hotspot for budding new musicians from the Denver Metro Area," said Jane Knauf, owner of Brodo Italian Scratch Kitchen.
Concerts take place Thursday nights from 5-8 p.m. Scarred Jefferies performed on August 16. Scarred Jeffries is a barebone concept cover band from Albuquerque, NM. A unique and compelling sound, created with bass and vocals only, they cover a variety of genres from 90s grunge and pop country to hard rock and much more.
Piano-pop artist Alec Ryan will also be featured. His music is relatable, contagious, and filled with honesty. Channeling classic influences like Billy Joel, as well as modern talents such as Ben Folds, Jack's Mannequin, and The Fray, Alec writes music that breathes life and emotion into stories that everyone can relate to. "With tender lyrics, empathetic storytelling, and energetic piano-work, Alec's music taps into a familiar pop/rock sound, but one that is stripped of ego and agenda," noted Knauf.
On August 23, Brodo's will feature Veronique Van Pelt, a freakishly prolific songwriter, advanced pop vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist whose music has been featured on MTV. She has multiple studio projects set to release over the summer and fall, including a collection of jazz standards, a country EP called "Who Is Bette Southern," as well as an experimental electro-art-pop album.
David Burchfield will also be performing. He learned to perform during summers of nightly campfire shows for 50 or more people, so far back in the mountains that lanterns were the light source and the well was where the water came from. "He plays his guitar like a cannon and belts out lyrics like he's unplugged even when he isn't," concluded Knauf.
September shows include 9/6 Brianna Straut, a singer-songwriter from Denver by way of Texas; 9/13 Brendan Doyle, a 23-year-old singer-songwriter breaking into the Denver music scene with an acoustic guitar and his voice; 9/20 Stephen Pamas, a singer-songwriter that has been engaged in the Denver music scene since 2015; and on 9/27 Noah Zinter, who creates a sound reminiscent of an Appalachian revival with just the right amount of moonshine to help the medicine go down.
