New Supernatural-Thriller for Young Adults Combines Superheroes, Action, Love
TEMPE, Ariz. (PRWEB) July 14, 2017 -- Xavier L Hernandez wrote “Broken Hero” (published by iUniverse) to share a message of perseverance in the face of adversity. The main character Luis Hernandez experiences hardship after stopping a school shooting.
Luis, a young teenager who discovers he has superpowers, is hunted by strange people after he stops a school shooting in Echo City. His friend, Jesse, and his love interest, Lily, help Luis on his journey to discovering who he really is. Luis learns that there has been a secret war between superhumans and dark monsters going on that somehow involves his mother.
“I want readers to feel the great emotion and work put in to create this story,” Hernandez says. “I also want them to want more and not want the book to end … to be begging for another novel in the series or just another novel to come out to feed their hunger.”
An excerpt from “Broken Hero”:
“You saved more lives in one day then I have in a week. This act of bravery will be known forever. You are now famous kid. What’s your name?” The officer said as he looked at Luis hand.
