Brookhaven Retreat Announces the Date of their Annual Alumnae Reunion for Saturday, March 26, 2016
Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) December 02, 2015 -- Brookhaven Retreat ® LLC, a unique residential treatment facility exclusively for women with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, announces the date for the annual Alumnae Reunion, Saturday, March 26, 2016.
The event will welcome alumnae of The Lily Program ®, a 90-day program for women offered exclusively at Brookhaven Retreat, from all over the country to the exclusive RT Lodge in Maryville, TN.
Although the treatment program lasts for 90 days, Brookhaven Retreat’s ongoing dedication to clients stems from the awareness that the recovery process is a “walk for life.” As part of the ongoing process of the extensive Aftercare program available to all alumnae, all who attend will have the opportunity to reunite, renew and treasure the life changes they began in treatment.
Brookhaven Retreat’s founder Jacqueline Dawes, says, “We very much look forward to this event every year to celebrate the work we’ve done and for the opportunity to reconnect with clients from the past and learn about their growth over the past year, or several years as the case may be. We are quite fortunate to have developed this element of the work-the celebration of progress and success-because it is so rewarding on both sides, equally for the clients and staff members.”
The Aftercare Program is designed to provide lasting support to encourage success and health after a client returns home. Comprehensive pre-discharge planning of the program includes weekly conference calls, recommended reading, an interactive website and discussion forum, and an invitation to the annual reunion.
“Recovery has no set timeframe,” says Dawes. “The completion of one’s stay at Brookhaven Retreat isn’t necessarily the completion of treatment. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, and sometimes it goes on for a lifetime. That is why we encourage alumnae to lean on us and use us as support system for life. Aftercare services, which are available on an outpatient basis, are equally as important and necessary as the inpatient program. Our door is always open, and we offer the reunion as way to inspire continued progress.”
Details, such as the theme and menu for the day, are forthcoming, as the entire day will be designed to encourage ongoing healing while celebrating another year of successful recovery.
