Brookhaven Retreat honored nurses on National Nurse’s Day with facility luncheon
Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- Brookhaven Retreat®, LLC, a unique residential treatment facility exclusively for women with emotional and mental health challenges, and/or substance abuse issues celebrated the compassion and dedication of staff nurses with an on-site Nurse’s Day Luncheon.
National Nurse’s Day is observed annually on May 6 and launches National Nurse’s Week. National Nurse’s Day was originally set aside to raise awareness of the important role nurses play in society as well as the significant impact nurses have on patient care. To honor that sentiment, Brookhaven Retreat celebrated the daily, heartfelt, compassionate care each of its nurses provides for women recovering from mental health disorders.
Brookhaven Retreat nurses are dedicated and caring and are often the first line of defense in a medical or mental health crises. At Brookhaven Retreat, staff nurses work intimately with each woman from the moment she arrives, creating a deep bond that grows stronger throughout the treatment term. Brookhaven Retreat nurses collaborate with the medical director, psychiatrist and other clinical staff to administer the complete treatment process from detoxification to medication management. They offer reliable and professional treatment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to foster emotional, physical, and mental healing.
On Wednesday, May 6, Brookhaven Retreat honored the hard work and dedication of its nurses with a luncheon to celebrate National Nurse’s Day. All Brookhaven Retreat staff gathered to thank the nurses for their contribution to the treatment team and their commitment to excellent care for all Brookhaven Retreat clients. Brookhaven Retreat nurses are some of its most dedicated employees. Brookhaven Retreat is honored to have such skilled and caring employees on staff and looks forward to many more years with its superb nursing team.
