ATLANTA, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- brrr° will be the first of 34 rising technology companies to present its business plan to investors at the Venture Atlanta conference as the cooling fabric innovator also announces plans to raise $3-5 million in equity funding.
CEO & Founder Mary-Cathryn Kolb is scheduled to take center stage at 1:40 PM ET tomorrow at the Southeast's premier event that connects technology innovators with investment capital.
Venture Atlanta expects more than 140 funds and 900 technology entrepreneurs to attend the two-day conference, putting the 11th annual gathering on track to be the largest yet. brrr° was chosen from more than 1,000 applicants for a coveted presenting spot, building upon brrr°'s selection for the "Startup Showcase" at last year's Venture Atlanta conference.
Companies who have presented at Venture Atlanta have collectively raised more than $2.5 billion in capital and achieved exits valued in excess of $14 billion.
"We appreciate this opportunity to introduce brrr°'s growth story as a disruptive innovator in cooling fabric technology to investors across the Southeast and beyond," said Mary-Cathryn Kolb, Founder and CEO of brrr°.
Last month, Kolb was named Small Business Person of the Year in the Emerging Entrepreneur category by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, which recognizes an inspiring business owner who started their business three to seven years ago.
brrr° develops cooling fabric technology that combines natural minerals with active wicking and rapid drying to create a "Triple Chill Effect" that draws heat away from the skin and won't ever fade or wash out. Its patent-pending technology is tested by globally recognized independent labs, and outperforms other leading brands.
