Buffalo NY, Rochester NY, (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- October 27, 2014
Breast cancer is a very serious problem that impacts a great number of Buffalo area individuals and families. Sadly, sometimes its warning signs go undetected complicating treatment possibilities due to a lack of awareness of its early symptoms. Recently, the Buffalo Airport Taxi Independent Taxi Association (ITA) in an effort to help raise awareness of and much needed local funds to fight breast cancer announced they will be holding a Breast Cancer Awareness and Fund Raising Event at Buffalo International Airport on October 30th, 2014. Funds will be raised in support if the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY and a number of celebrities are scheduled to attend signing autographs, greeting taxi customers and helping raise awareness of breast cancer.
“This is a very important issue to both us and to our city,” commented a spokesperson from the taxi association. “It's important to us to help when and where we can. We're not just taxi drivers, but also people who care deeply about trying to make a difference in people's lives.”
Attending the event, which is scheduled to go on between 10:00AM and 12:00PM on Thursday, October 30th are former Miss USA Mary Therese Friel, 2014 National American Miss New York Teen, Diana Marie Russo and Miss Royalty International Amanda Torchia, who will all be greeting taxi customers and helping raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
Jmax Media Solutions, a full service small business marketing agency who specialize in cause marketing, will be catering and promoting the event, also in solidarity with helping the Roswell Park Cancer Center and the people of Buffalo.
