The Clubhouse...is such a phenomenal resource in our community. All parents want their kids to have fun after school in a safe environment. The Clubhouse goes a step further, enabling local kids with disabilities to find socialization and independence.

The caring team at Mark Jameson Insurance Agency unveils the latest campaign in their ongoing community enrichment program, with which they work to further their commitment to better the local community. The Clubhouse For Special Needs is a grassroots, nonprofit organization which provides a safe and fun place for teens and young adults with mild to moderate intellectual and/or physical challenges to socialize in a recreational atmosphere. Donations to this worthy cause are now being accepted at: https://www.gofundme.com/5qsmzkuc.
The Clubhouse For Special Needs was founded in 2005 by Darlene Hollingsworth, a single working mom raising a child born with Down syndrome. When Darlene was fired from her job because she needed to be home for her son in the afternoons, she realized that there were plenty of day cares for young children and for the elderly, but there was a huge gap in care for ‘the forgotten age group’ of 13-22 years in northeast Tarrant County. The Clubhouse focuses on providing a safe, fun, supervised recreation center these young people can call their own, where they may be independent, develop social skills and basically have the time of their lives. Fundraising for this nonprofit is always important, but is even more critical right now due to the necessity of vital roof repairs.
“The Clubhouse For Special Needs is such a phenomenal resource in our community,” said Mark Jameson, owner of Mark Jameson Insurance Agency. “All parents want their kids to have fun after school in a safe environment. The Clubhouse goes a step further, enabling local kids with disabilities to find socialization and independence. We’re thrilled to help them however we can.”
Putting their money where their mouth is, the agency itself will donate $10 to The Clubhouse for each person recommended to the agency for a quote. Anyone willing to help spread the word about the cause may recommend someone they know for a new insurance evaluation for their home, car, life, etc., with no purchase necessary. The dedicated team at Mark Jameson Insurance’s four area locations is hard at work promoting the initiative for The Clubhouse through social media and an email awareness campaign, as well as having dedicated a full page of their monthly magazine to feature all the details. Our Hometown magazine is delivered to thousands of households in the Fort Worth/Dallas metro area.
