FSU Credit Union Donates More Than $14,000 to Local Charities
Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) December 26, 2013 -- In the spirit of the holiday season, and following the credit union philosophy of "people helping people," auto loans (new, used or refinanced) taken out at FSU Credit Union directly benefit a local charitable organization.
FSU Credit Union donates $10 per eligible auto loan to a local charity of the month. The win-win partnership allows members get a loan with a great rate, saving them money on interest, and money to be given back to the community. A different local charity is selected each month by FSU Credit Union employees. The campaign, “Borrow 4 Less. Give Back More,” started in July. Since its inception, more than $14,000 has been donated.
The following are the chosen charities for each month along with the donation amounts:
• July 2013 American Heart Association $3070
• August 2013 American Cancer Society $3350
• September 2013 Elder Care Services $2710
• October 2013 CU4Kids (Children's Miracle Network) $2850
• November 2013 Children's Home Society $2440
• December 2013 Leon County Humane Society TBA
