Augusta, GA (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- Moses Law Group reminds officers and registered agents of corporate entities registered in Georgia that the annual registration renewal period has begun. The deadline for the annual registration renewal period is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 31. This deadline has been extended from the usual deadline of April 1.
“It seems every year this annual filing requirement trips up hundreds of small businesses,” says Tim Moses, the founder of Moses Law Group. “We want to help make sure everyone is aware of this filing requirement so that their business does not become delinquent, or worse, administratively dissolved. Instead, we want Georgia businesses focused on their core products or services and making a profit. To that end, we remain poised to assist clients in navigating the sea of legal and regulatory obstacles along the way.”
Georgia law requires all corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships to file annual registrations with the secretary of state and pay the renewal fee. Business entities that fail to renew by the deadline will be charged a late filing penalty fee and risk being administratively dissolved. Customers who are unsure of an entity’s status should visit the Georgia Corporations Division website and search for their company by name or control number.
