Buzz Franchise Brands Adds Brand to Growing Portfolio to Celebrate 10 Years in Business

The multi-brand franchisor is preparing to launch Grand Illuminations, a holiday lighting concept, as part of its 10 year celebration.

Buzz Franchise Brands (BFB), the parent company and home services powerhouse that oversees more than 270 units over its portfolio of franchise concepts, is celebrating a decade in business. In the ten years the business has been operating, BFB has launched and developed many of the most successful franchise brands in the home services space, and it’s not done yet. Buzz recently announced the upcoming launch of the newest brand in its portfolio, Grand Illuminations, a premium holiday lighting and décor brand.

In 2012, Buzz Franchise Brands launched and began franchising its first brand, Mosquito Joe. Buzz grew Mosquito Joe into a $60 million, 280-unit brand before the brand was acquired in 2018 by Neighborly. Buzz then launched Pool Scouts in 2016 and has grown the brand to over 110 territories in 17 states. It subsequently franchised Home Clean Heroes in 2019, which has grown to 11 franchisees post-COVID; that same year, it acquired the current 165-unit British Swim School brand in 2019.

Buzz Franchise Brands COO Brian Garrison will serve as Grand Illumination’s president as the company heads into its first season. The company already has several successful business operators who own independent holiday lighting decor companies and are transitioning their businesses to the new brand. These operators have the experience to help build Grand Illuminations into a thriving brand.

The growing demand for holiday lighting services is encouraging, and Garrison says the seasonally-based Grand Illuminations model works as an effective complement to Buzz’s other brands. Buzz expects to have 10 open franchise locations for the 2022 holiday season, in addition to a corporate territory in Virginia.

“Buzz has done a fantastic job developing healthy, strong, recognized franchise brands in the home services industry over the last ten years,” said Garrison. “The emergence of Grand Illuminations will be a key part of continuing that trajectory of success in this space. I'm excited to be an integral part of that growth and positioning the brand for success with Buzz.”

In 2015, the Buzz Franchise Brands multi-brand vision was established. Shortly after their family grew from one brand to two brands, and in 2017 they added their third, each with a primary focus on providing quality services to the home. While Mosquito Joe found a new home in late 2018, they continue to own and operate pool cleaning and maintenance provider Pool Scouts, and Home Clean Heroes, a residential cleaning brand bringing a fresh perspective to a dated industry. Most recently, in April 2019, they welcomed our newest brand to the family: British Swim School, providing world class swim lessons and water survival skills.
