Sibername Announces Price Increase for .ca Domain Names
Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- Sibername today announced a price increase for .ca domain name renewal prices. Pricing for .ca domain names will increase globally $1.20 CAD. This price increase will be effective Oct. 1, 2017.
"This price increase is a reflection of CIRA's price increase effective on the same day. When asked about this increase, Dot Ca domain name registry, CIRA, explains that, this is their first price increase and it is necessary to improve the security of the .ca domain name system.
Unfortunately, with a very low profit margin, we have to reflect this increase to our prices and ensure our ability to continue delivering value to customers moving forward,” said Brent Turkouglu, president, SiberName.
A .ca domain name can be renewed for multiple years in advance, for up to 10 years of registration.
Sibername customers may want to take advantage of this time left before the increase.
A .ca domain can be renewed through http://www.sibername.com/dom and the maximum term will be given per domain at the checkout.
Sibername was formed in 2000 and has been in business over 17 years as an ICANN, CIRA and Eurid Registrar. It was formed by domain name experts and has participated in nearly every ICANN Landrush period since its formation. It is based in Ottawa, ON, CANADA.
