Assessments are often conducted to evaluate a Records Management Program, but measurable results don't always follow. This session will examine critical elements of an effective assessment that are needed to actually realize improvements and risk reduction. Participants will explore a range of Program Assessment approaches, including a full Information Governance Assessment.

An important element in gaining control of your records - paper and electronic - is the records and information inventory. Simply put, everyone needs to know what records and information there are before they can be managed. But, is a traditional inventory still valid in the age of electronics? This session explores the benefits of a records inventory and presents various approaches for conducting one (for all media). Then to improve return on investment, Dr. Bennett will discuss ways to leverage a records inventory to further RIM Program compliance.
