US Sports Camps Partner, Cal Men's and Women's Lacrosse, to Host Spring Play Day and Clinic
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) January 25, 2016 -- US Sports Camps Cal Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse programs are putting on a fun filled weekend of early season collegiate match-ups, pre-season youth scrimmage opportunities for u13 and u15 boys and girls teams, and a Learn-To-Play interactive seminar designed to introduce the game of lacrosse to interested parents and prospective coaches.
The weekend is a lacrosse festival celebrating the game, engaging youth, showcasing competitive college lacrosse, and developing the coaching pool to support the continued growth of lacrosse in California. The event begins Friday, February 19th with Cal Women’s Lacrosse taking on Ohio State at 2:00 pm in Memorial Stadium. Players and parents will also have the opportunity to meet the Cal Lacrosse Players and receive a Campus Tour.
“The California Lacrosse Play Day and Clinic will bring together collegiate and youth lacrosse, alongside coach development curriculum, to celebrate and support the growth of Lacrosse in California,” says Cal Men’s Head Coach, Ned Webster. "Both programs are really looking forward to it." Adds Cal Women’s Head Coach, Brooke Eubanks, "This event is a partnership between Cal Men's and Women's Lacrosse and will be hosted at Cal's Memorial Stadium and Maxwell Family Field."

• Cal Women’s Lacrosse vs. Ohio State, Friday 2/19 @ 2:00 pm, Memorial Stadium
• Cal Men’s Lacrosse vs. Nevada, Saturday 2/20 @ 1:00 pm, Memorial Stadium
• Cal Women’s Lacrosse intersquad scrimmage, Sunday 2/21 from 10:00am-12:00pm
• Cal Men’s Lacrosse vs. Chapman, Sunday 2/21 @ 1:00 pm, Memorial Stadium
FESTIVAL STYLE YOUTH SCRIMMAGES
• Four divisions including U13 Boys and Girls, and U15 Boys and girls
• u13 scrimmages will be held on Saturday, February 20th
• u15 scrimmages will be held on Sunday, February 21st
• Event registration fee paid for by individual teams
• Each team guaranteed two games
LEARN-TO-PLAY INTRODUCTION TO COACHING SEMINAR
An interactive seminar that teaches the introductory fundamentals of lacrosse; designed for parents who did not grow up with the game but are interested in coaching. This is an interactive precursor to US Lacrosse coach training level 1 and runs 2-3 hours on field.
