Caliber Public Safety Celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
Niagara Falls, NY (PRWEB) April 11, 2016 -- Caliber Public Safety (Caliber) is celebrating the second full week of April as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, the week of April 10-16, 2016 honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
At Caliber we are pleased to highlight the work of telecommunications professionals. In February 2016, Pickens County, Georgia 911 upgraded to Caliber Public Safety' s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) 10 system. Located in Jasper, GA, the Pickens County 911 has five CAD positions, which serve a population of 29,000 over 233 square miles. CAD 10 enables dispatchers, responders, and commanders to collaborate in real-time, across agency, discipline, and location boundaries. Using con¬figurable work flow options, administrators optimize speed and accuracy, promote best practices, and assure compliance with local policies. Designed for multi-agency and multi-discipline incident response, CAD 10 identifies responders by discipline, determines route-based response times, and pinpoints hazards based on incident proximity.
Brian Chapin, Executive Vice President of Caliber Public Safety, is honored to participate in National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by expressing appreciation for the steadfast commitment exhibited by these professionals every single day. “The Caliber team extends our gratitude to the dedicated individuals who do the hard work, day in and day out. We are proud to deliver high quality products that assist them when minutes and seconds count.”
