Capital Continuity Shortlisted for 2014-2015 Cloud Awards Program
Watford (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- Capital Continuity, a UK provider of replication, recovery and migration software for managed service providers (MSPs), has been shortlisted in the 2014-2015 Cloud Awards program in the Best SaaS (outside U.S.) category.
With awards for excellence and innovation in cloud computing, the cloud computing awards program accepts entries from across the globe, including the US, Canada, Australia, and EMEA. Now in its fourth year, entries are accepted from organizations of any size, and include start-ups and government bodies.
“We’ve been very impressed with how the Cloud ecosystem has evolved by the end of 2014 and these best-of-breed organizations are knocking it out of the park in terms of performance,” said Larry Johnson, Cloud Awards organizer. “These technologies aren’t going away: leverage them now or ignore them at your peril.”
“We believe Capital Continuity’s inclusion on the shortlist for the Cloud Awards validates our position on the leading edge of the convergence of IT disaster recovery and high-availability management into a single cohesive solution that represents the future of IT service continuity management,” said Lee Exall, Managing Partner at Capital Continuity. “There’s an increasing need for IT service resiliency in addition to traditional disaster recovery. Today’s ‘always on’ service expectations mean that businesses need a solution that keeps critical systems and applications running at all times as well as a way to recover data in the event of a major disruption or catastrophe.”
Capital Continuity provides Business Interruption Protection software (BIPs) specifically developed for Managed Service Providers. BIPs is a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and cloud migration solution that delivers real-time system protection for businesses and near instant system recoveries to the cloud. BIPs can successfully migrate systems of any size, without risk of disruption to daily operations, minimizing downtime.
BIPs facilitates multidirectional, cross-cloud migrations. DRaaS protection has traditionally been one-way, on-premises to cloud or cloud to cloud. BIPs is the only solution in the world that can protect businesses with physical or virtual systems and deliver cross boundary consistent replication, which is paramount for successful recoveries.
Over 300 organizations entered the Cloud Awards, with entries coming from across the globe, covering the Americas, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Final winners will be announced on Tuesday 27 January 2015. This will not be the end of the process, with a public vote announced on this date to decide who will win the Cloud Computing Organization of the Year Award.
