Brownsville, TX Car Accident Attorney Ken Tummel of Tummel & Casso Comments on List of Safest Driving Cities
Brownsville, TX (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- Brownsville car accident lawyer Ken Tummel today said he was very glad to see that Brownsville, Texas, has been listed as one of America’s safest driving cities, according to an Allstate Insurance report.
“As a personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen the devastating impact of car accidents on individuals and families in Brownsville and other Texas communities,” said Tummel, who represents victims of negligence and families who lost loved ones in accidents. “According to Allstate, Brownsville jumped 21 spots from the previous year and is now one of the top five best cities for drivers. This is great news for anyone using the roads in Brownsville.”
The report, titled “Where are the Safest Driving Cities in America? The Ninth Annual ‘Allstate America's Best Drivers Report®’ Reveals New Results,” was released on August 27, 2013, and ranked Brownsville to be the fourth-safest driving city in America.
“Due to Allstate’s comprehensive claim data and status as one of America’s largest auto insurers, the results of their study reveal a credible snapshot into what’s happening on roadways across the country,” said Tummel. “What’s happening in Brownsville is a testament to drivers who obey the law, drive defensively, and keep their eyes on the road.”
According to the Allstate Insurance report, which collected claims data from America’s 200 most populous cities, drivers in Brownsville are 21.1 percent less likely to be involved in a motor vehicle accident when compared to the national average.
In addition, the Allstate Insurance report also named nearby McAllen, TX as the 36th safest driving city. In 2012, Brownsville and McAllen were ranked 25th and 34th respectively, showing consistency among both cities.
“Make no mistake about it, safe driving leads to safer highways and roadways across South Texas and throughout the United States. The chances of an accident happening increases sharply when drivers are distracted by cell phones and text messaging, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or driving recklessly through stop signs or over the speed limit,” said Tummel, a lawyer in Brownsville with over 30 years of experience. “When these drivers cause accidents on our roadways, they should be held accountable for their actions. A local car accident attorney can help fight for the compensation you deserve if you or a loved one has been injured as a result of a careless driver.”
