Care Net Awards Pregnancy Centers for Exemplary Service to Women and Men Facing Pregnancy Decisions
(PRWEB) October 20, 2015 -- Care Net, a nonprofit organization that supports one of the nation’s largest network of pregnancy centers, at its 2015 National Conference, presented special awards to its affiliated centers and to its longest serving leaders for their exemplary work serving the women and men in their communities.
Seven awards for excellence were presented by Care Net, recognizing the accomplishments of centers in 2014 in the following categories.
The Guy Condon Presidential Award was created to honor a center with a holistic approach to client care, including a focus on marriage, fatherhood, and motherhood. This center also has a focus on “life support,” meaning that it does not just focus on the number of churches that support it, but also the number of churches in their network that will provide ongoing support for mothers and/or couples.
The winner of the Guy Condon Presidential Award was Wayne Pregnancy Care Center of Goldsboro, NC.
The Gospel Presentation Award was awarded to urban, suburban, and rural centers with the highest number of gospel presentations to their clients. The recipients of the Gospel Presentation Award were:
o Women’s Enrichment Center – Lancaster, SC (rural)
o Care Net Pregnancy Center of Northwest Houston – Houston, TX (suburban)
o Women’s Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada – Las Vegas, NV (urban)
The Critical Client Award was presented to the rural, suburban, and urban centers with highest number of critical clients – clients who are at most risk for abortion. The recipients of the Critical Client Award were:
o Echoz Pregnancy Care Center in Great Falls, MT (rural)
o Care Net Medical Services in Waco, TX (suburban)
o Pregnancy Care Center in Fresno, CA (urban)
Care Net selected the above winners from nominees within its network of over 1,100 affiliated pregnancy centers.
Care Net President and CEO Roland C. Warren praised the award recipients: “Because life decisions require life support, it is our pleasure to recognize the excellence of these centers as they provide material, emotional, and spiritual support to women and men facing pregnancy decisions.”
In addition, Care Net presented its Teal Heart Award to pregnancy center leaders based on their years of service to those making pregnancy decisions in their communities.
