New Search Engine for Career and Course-Planning Tools Puts Students in the Driver’s Seat
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- Career Cruising has completely overhauled the search engine for its ccSpringboard guidance software. Now, students can get instant results, organized by category on any page in the Career Cruising site.
“Our new search tools deliver the quality and features that students have come to expect from other popular search tools on the web today,” Career Cruising Technical Director, Cory Thomas. “This is the first step in our commitment to deepening and expanding the use of search throughout the Career Cruising site.”
Career Cruising has revamped its search technology to return the most meaningful results for students whether they are planning courses, exploring careers, or researching life after high school. ccSpringboard features a new search bar with auto-completion, suggesting search words while students type. \Search results appear A-Z and link directly to resource information. Results are automatically filtered into useful categories such as Careers, Education and Financial Aid.
“This initiative is in response to feedback from users requesting more relevant search results,” says Career Cruising CEO, Matt McQuillen. “They asked and we delivered. Now it is easier for users to see all their options right away.”
Career Cruising provides secure career guidance programming to nearly 20,000 schools, career centers and libraries across North America. Founded in 1997, Career Cruising streamlines career exploration and education planning for students, counselors and educators with age-appropriate resources. The new ccSpringboard search engine is yet another exciting step in our ongoing mission to engage and inspire individuals of all ages to achieve their full potential in school, career and life.
