CarHistory.us.org Updates Vehicle Valuations for Fourth Quarter
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- CarHistory.us.org has updated their entire database to revalue the estimated value of vehicles for the fourth quarter, the company said yesterday.
“Vehicle prices are, to one degree or another, seasonal,” a CarHistory.us.org spokesman said. “Because of that we have to do a complete update of our valuation database at the end of every quarter. We are happy to report that we have completed that update, and our estimated values are up to date.”
The fourth-quarter valuation is the most extensive of the year, the CarHistory.us.org spokesman said.
“This is when cars for the new year start showing up in showrooms,” he said. “That means there are suddenly a lot more used cars on the market, and cars from just the past year are now becoming used cars. This completely changes the valuation of nearly every used vehicle being sold.”
The glut on the market can often cause the valuations of used cars to drop dramatically in the fourth quarter, the CarHistory.us.org spokesman said.
“When you have thousands of people trading in their old cars for new cars, it means there are suddenly a lot more used cars on the marketplace,” he said. “That means dealers will often drop prices quite a bit just to move them off the lot. This is why it is so important for us to update our valuations this time of the year.”
