Natalie Bushaw Named CaringBridge Volunteer of the Year
Eagan, MN (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- CaringBridge, the nonprofit caring social network that connects people during any type of health event, named Natalie Bushaw its 2013 Volunteer of the Year. The Volunteer of the Year is selected based on a combination of years of service, commitment to the mission of CaringBridge, volunteer hours, dependability, flexibility and reliability.
Natalie and her husband Ben welcomed twin boys to the world with health challenges in 2003. Natalie hadn’t even left her hospital bed when she first reached out to CaringBridge Founder and CEO, Sona Mehring, asking how she could give back. That began her 10 year career as a CaringBridge volunteer, representing and sharing CaringBridge.
“What Sona created and continues to evolve has been one of the most instrumental and important pieces of technology. It has changed the landscape of how we stay connected–it is just so profound what it has done for people,” said Natalie. “Volunteering for me is a way to give back and show my gratitude.”
