“Stay Connected”: a lovely children’s book that illustrates the friendship between two different individuals who are willing to help each other out in times of trouble. “Stay Connected” is the creation of published author Cassandra Pittman, a youth leader at Shekinah Ministry for the past three years who lives in Greenville, North Carolina. She currently has her associate degree in early childhood and is working on her bachelor degree to teach first graders.
Pittman shares, “This book is entitled Stay Connected. It is about an eraser and a pencil who meet one day in the small town of Wonder Ville, not knowing how much they would need each other. In their relationship, they didn’t know how different they were, but they became friends. In the process of playing, one’s feelings got hurt, but it showed how one has compassion for the other and is willing to help out, with no questions asked, because of the friendship that had developed between them. It shows that it is better to stand as one than to be apart. It lets us know that God wants us to be the same way, no matter what. If you make a mistake, God can erase your sin and let you start all over again.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Cassandra Pittman’s new book is an amusing read for young readers that brings to them a tale of true and lasting friendship. Their story contains a message that God, similar to an eraser, is always around to erase our sins when we ask for His forgiveness and a chance to start over.
