Cassida Corporation Upgrades 5520 Professional Currency Counter, Increasing Efficiency of Cash Handling
Tualatin, Oregon (PRWEB) November 04, 2013 -- Cassida Corporation today began shipping an upgraded version of its 5520 Professional Currency Counter that will save time and simplify operations for cash handlers and processors nationwide.
The new Cassida 5520 offers ValuCount™, an exclusive feature that lets users get a count of different denominations while keeping track of the total value of the bills in the machine’s stacker. “Cassida 5520 with ValuCount streamlines many cash handling duties,” said Matt Goldfain, product marketing manager for Cassida Corporation. “ValuCount essentially allows the Cassida 5520 to be both a bill counter and have some properties of a currency discriminator, which is unique to the marketplace.”
A new LCD screen on the front of the Cassida 5520 showcases both bill counts and count values in large, easy-to-read numbers. The machine can process up to 1300 bills per minute and is compact enough to be transported wherever cash counts need to happen.
The Cassida 5520 also gives cash processors peace of mind because of its ability to detect a wide range of counterfeit bills, using ultraviolet and/or magnetic sensors, depending on the model. Once a counterfeit is detected, the 5520 stops the count and dispenses the suspect bill into its stacker for removal. The LCD screen also showcases the reason the counterfeit bill was rejected.
Infrared sensors allow the 5520 to spot a wide range of bill discrepancies, including half, double and chain notes. In all cases the user is alerted with an audible beep and an error message is shown on the LCD screen, making maintenance easy and facilitating continuous counting.
An additional upgrade to the 5520 is a steel hopper that makes this trusted machine even more durable. Available at retailers nationwide, the Cassida 5520 Professional Currency Counter retails for under $200.
