Catalyst Healthcare, the leading provider of pharmaceutical adherence solutions, has announced that Ron Jost has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Jost has over 25 years of experience in the software industry, having previously worked with Intuit, Amazon, Saville Systems, IP Commerce, QHR Technologies, and recently, The Monarch Corporation where he served as CEO for Pack4U. A pharmacy-to-pharmacy fulfillment operation offering centralized filling of adherence packaging, Pack4U was originally created by Catalyst Healthcare and remains fully integrated with their suite of software. With expertise in product management, product development, and global implementation, Mr. Jost will work with Catalyst Founder and CEO, Shane Bishop, to drive Catalyst’s expansion from the traditional long-term care space into the consumer-driven, patient-focused retail market of medication adherence technologies.
“I couldn’t be happier to welcome Ron on board,” said Shane Bishop, Catalyst Founder and CEO. “Catalyst is at the right place and the right time to scale our ultimate medication adherence solution – our pharmacy software and MyMedTimes™ smart mobile app – and Ron’s wealth of experience in developing high-performing tech companies will be invaluable to us as we level up our processes and expand our software and technology offerings. Ron is stepping in at the perfect time to take our company to the next level.”
Catalyst Healthcare is in the midst of a number of exciting developments, recently announcing a collaboration with McKesson Canada, and also entering into a contract to provide its full suite of adherence solutions to Rubicon Pharmacies. Rubicon Pharmacies operates 62 locations and is based out of Weyburn, Saskatchewan. As Rubicon serves both retail and long-term care, meeting the complete adherence needs for the entire network of pharmacy locations marks a significant foray into the retail marketplace for Catalyst. The appointment of Mr. Jost will serve to strengthen Catalyst’s market position as the company explores these and other strategic expansion opportunities for their full-service adherence solutions.
“I am very excited to be working with Shane, an expert in his field, and I believe, one of the top innovators in North America,” said Mr. Jost. “It is rare to have an opportunity to work with a company that is not only leading the market with advanced technology, but also has the direct industry experience to back that technology up and ensure its success, and that is certainly the case with Shane and his pharmacy/healthcare background. Catalyst is truly at the forefront of innovation with their adherence platform and is perfectly poised for expansion as they extend their technology right into the homes of patients with the advancement of their mobile app. This is going to make a huge difference in the marketplace.”
Mr. Jost is working from Catalyst’s U.S. headquarters, strategically established in Boulder, Colorado, a fast-growing technology cluster, in order to bolster the company’s U.S. expansion strategy.
Catalyst’s pharmacy software tracks the entire medication process, working in tandem with the MyMedTimes™ smart mobile app and also allowing access to central fill, and oneMAR® facility software. MyMedTimes™ is the only fully automated adherence app on the market. Fully integrated with Catalyst’s full suite of software, the app guides patients on which medications to take and when, and the interactive pharmacy dashboard allows pharmacists to monitor outcomes and to intervene with communication if non-adherence becomes an issue. The dashboard also provides data which the pharmacy can use to demonstrate they are tracking adherence and are managing patient compliance.
Catalyst provides high-quality software to pharmacists, nurses and patients to ensure that people receive medications safely and efficiently. Our determination to accelerate medication adherence is based on a history of serving long-term care and retail patients. For more information, visit http://www.catalystrms.com.
