Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 03, 2015
HealthCarePoint (HCP), the Texas-based healthcare and clinical research networking-technology corporation, announced today that it has completed development of the BlueCloud™ commerce system for the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC). HCP will continue to provide in-kind services in the effort to standardize knowledge-based training and certifications globally. HCP’s in-kind services will also include back office IT and web support as well as development of dynamic identification for country-specific economies to allow any country to participate in these global standards, regardless of economic status.
“CDISC has greatly valued our collaboration with HealthCarePoint, and we consider them a tremendous asset in our efforts to reach out to broader, global audiences about the benefits of the CDISC standards,” emphasized Dr. Rebecca Kush, CDISC president and CEO. “Reaching and training these new audiences on how to implement and use the CDISC standards is a crucial part of achieving the CDISC vision to ‘inform patient care and safety through higher quality medical research.’”
HCP’s efforts to ensure clinicians, researchers and healthcare providers have the opportunity to take advantage of available product discounts is especially important to making training and certification affordable around the world.
“This e-commerce enhancement to our TrainingCampus was completed just in time to support the increasing global demand for training on the CDISC standards following FDA’s recently published final electronic submissions Guidance,” said Shannon Labout, Vice President of Education for CDISC. “The ability to automate discounted pricing for our online courses will greatly streamline the registration process for users from our Member organizations, and for many others in the global CDISC community. We greatly appreciate the time and resources donated by HealthCarePoint to help us achieve this.”
“As a socially responsible organization and a standards consolidator, it is our policy to help qualified not-for-profit organizations achieve their missions by providing in-kind donations of time, resources and technology services whenever and wherever possible,” said Al O. Pacino, HCP president and co-founder. “Working with CDISC to create a common language for clinical research will aid in our mission to connect healthcare and clinical research, which is one of our priorities as an industry neutral technology network.”
CDISC is a 501(c)(3) global non-profit charitable organization, with over 350 supporting member organizations from across the clinical research and healthcare arenas.
