Philanthropist Debbi DiMaggio Announces Make Fashion Dreams Come True for Tashawna’s 25th Birthday Campaign
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- Bay Area Author and Philanthropist Debbi DiMaggio announces “Make Fashion Dreams Come True for Tashawna’s 25th Birthday” campaign (July 1 - August 31, 2015) today with George Mark Children’s House. Tashawna is a young adult, who is bravely facing a degenerative disease. This campaign is a call to action to the public to join in Tashawna’s summer birthday celebrations and to celebrate the lives of anyone who is sadly facing a life-threatening disease in big ways.
To help make Tashawna’s fashion dreams come true (#fashiondreamscometrue), this campaign will include a fun fashion photo shoot with a professional photographer, makeup artist and dress designer, plus happy birthday videos and fashion birthday cards, culminating in a big birthday party celebration for Tashawna on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at George Mark Children’s House (San Leandro, CA).
Because Debbi DiMaggio and her role model Lady Diana both love fashion, share July birthdays and have a passion for giving back, Debbi is a perfect match to support Tashawna’s birthday activities in July and August. Debbi DiMaggio reflected, "Lady Di has always been a huge inspiration. I am so excited how this campaign came together. Fashion, philanthropy and giving back all in one! I couldn't be more pleased to partner with George Mark to bring Tashawna's fashion dreams come true. Tashawna is an extraordinary woman with a positive disposition and strong sense of self. What a privilege and an honor to be a part of her life."
George Mark Children’s House has been a great place of comfort to Tashawna, who sadly lost her father and older sister to the degenerative genetic disorder (Friedreich’s Ataxia) that she now faces. Tashawna is fully aware of her disease and the eventual outcome, and is grateful to have this special 25th birthday celebration. George Mark Children’s House Director of Advancement Ken Sommer describes Tashawna this way, “She has a really positive attitude, great sense of humor, spunk, loves to dance and especially loves fashion.”
When asked how she would like to celebrate her 25th birthday this August, during what may be one of her final birthdays, this superstar said, “Fashion is my life and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my 25th Birthday than by having a fashion party.”
To celebrate Tashawna’s birthday and life, Debbi and the George Mark team have planned these fun activities over the next two months, and ask everyone to get involved.
