Celebrate 200 Years of Henriot Champagne at the Salt Winemaker’s Dinner at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island
AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (PRWEB) December 13, 2018 -- Salt, the AAA Five Diamond restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, concludes its 2018 Winemaker’s Dinner Series on Tuesday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. with special guest, Henriot Champagne.
Family-owned and operated for more than 200 years, Henriot is known for producing genuine, highly-crafted Champagne in the mineral rich terroirs of Champagne, France in one of only a few independent houses in the region. Henriot’s reputation is rooted in their exceptional vineyards, among the most enviable sites in the appellation and their close-knit network of family growers. As an independent producer, Henriot has the luxury of aging their wines as long as deemed necessary with craftsmanship that has been handed down through eight generations of winemakers.
Highlights of the evening include entrée pairing with the elegant and complex Brut Millésimé 2008, known as the vintage of the century and a dessert course with Cuvée Hemera 2005, equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, sourced only from Gran Cru vineyards.
The dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with a light hors d’oeuvres reception followed by an intimate four-course dinner with vineyard representative Kelly McFadden providing commentary and tasting comments for each featured champagne.
