CE Live Offers Online Webinar Option to Earn Affordable Care Act Sales Certification in New York
BRIDGEHAMPTON, New York, (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- With only weeks to go before key provisions of Obamacare take effect, insurance agents and brokers planning to sell health insurance on the federal and state exchanges must secure the required certifications through approved providers. Online insurance continuing education provider CE Live has announced the availability of an interactive webinar to satisfy the New York Health Benefits Exchange (NYHBE) SHOP certification requirement for insurance agents and brokers.
CE Live is helping producers achieve New York Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) certification through a seven-hour online webinar that saves participants the time and expense of traveling to a classroom.
Earlier this year, CE Live was among a handful of insurance continuing education providers selected to offer the critical NYHBE certification courses necessary for both the individual exchange and the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) exchange; the Bridgehampton, New York company began offering the training through convenient, online webinars on August 1, 2013.
CE Live, the only company offering both NYHBE certifications via interactive online webinars that anyone can attend from any location, is also offering the certification exam online.

CE Live’s certification webinars are designed in accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 and the New York Health Benefit Exchange, established with NY Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order in April 2012. NYHBE will provide a marketplace for uninsured individuals and small business owners to comparison shop for health insurance, and will allow participants to receive federal tax credits and cost sharing subsidies. It is anticipated that one million New Yorkers will now have access to health insurance through the Exchange after it begins accepting applications on October 1, 2013.
NYHBE will serve two market groups – individuals and small businesses. Producers who wish to place business through NYHBE must be separately certified to operate in both markets.
