Approved by the New York State Education Department to offer the Child Abuse: New York Mandated Reporter Training course (provider #80870), NYRequirements.com also helps healthcare professionals by offering the course for $17. Chiropractors, dental hygienists, dentists, optometrists, physicians, podiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, school administrators and supervisors, school service personnel, classroom teachers, licensed clinical social workers, licensed master social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, creative arts therapists, and psychoanalysts must complete this course as part of their continuing education obligations, and the course covers many topics, such as child abuse indicators, how to talk to children you believe are being abused, and how to know when it is reasonable to report your suspicions.
