Pathways Hospice Community Supporters Meet Challenge of $40,000
Sunnyvale, California (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Donors to Pathways Hospice raised more than $40,000 to meet a challenge grant announced at the 23rd Annual One from the Heart Awards Breakfast on October 10, 2013. Offered by a small group of private individuals, the monies raised through the challenge grant will support Pathways’ hospice care for the community.
“Pathways has been caring for families and patients for over 36 years. Many of these patients are the neighbors, family members and friends of our supporters,” said Sandra Coolidge, Pathway’s Vice President of Admissions, Community Relations, & Philanthropy. “Fulfilling this challenge grant is a real vote of confidence in us and the quality of care we provide.”

This popular fundraising event attracts over 600 community leaders, medical professionals, and philanthropists who support local hospice care. This year’s event featured former CIA spy Tony Mendez, who authored the book Argo, which inspired the Oscar-winning film of the same name. Rita Williams also returned for her 14th year as host of the event.
