New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) November 14, 2014
With a new community program in Mississippi and Louisiana, James Insurance Agency once again joined the efforts of Covenant House of New Orleans, and announced a new charity campaign to raise funds to support and provide a safe haven for at-risk youth. Steven James, agency owner, will be taking part in Sleep Out for Kids to help bring awareness to homeless youth. The experience consists of sleeping in the streets for one night, on November 20th, and experiencing once what many children and young adults face every day and night. The agency is also raising monetary donations, which can now be made at http://covhou.convio.net/site/TR?px=1986834&fr_id=1376&pg=personal.
Utilizing its own resources and seeking the help of its own network of customers and business partners, James Insurance Agency marches on to ensure customers, friends, family and neighbors are always in good hands. The agency just recently launched the master charity program of which the current campaign is part of, electing every 60 days a new individual, organization or family in need to receive support.
“I am sleeping out as an expression of solidarity with nearly one million homeless youth across the nation and here in New Orleans. It will be dark. It will be tough. But for one night, I can give up the comforts of home knowing it can bring warmth and hope to young people who need it most,” said Steven James, the Agency’s principal.
The agency will continue to promote this worthy cause even past the Sleep Out for Kids event through its social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through a monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in Mississippi, where the agency currently operates. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature the details of the cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue can be accessed here: http://thejamesinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_42 .
To join James Insurance Agency in supporting homeless youth, donors are encouraged to visit http://covhou.convio.net/site/TR?px=1986834&fr_id=1376&pg=personal and also share the page with friends and family. Contributors may be acknowledged for their donations through the agency’s monthly magazine.
Once the current campaign is over, James Insurance Agency will continue to work closely with Covenant House and other nonprofit organizations in the area, to make sure resources are directed to capable hands that can help better the local community, one family or person at a time.
