Charles E. Rawlings Debunks Myths About Relationships between Men and Women
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- In 2012’s “It Really Is That Complicated” (published by AuthorHouse), which is getting a revived marketing push in 2013, author Charles E. Rawlings takes readers into a penetrating examination of male and female relationships, stripping away the fog of mystery and ennui surrounding the truth.
In 10 short chapters, Rawlings deconstructs misconceptions about relationships between men and women, giving readers a look into the unfiltered perspective of a mature male.
Rawlings maintains that there is a natural conflict that almost always develops organically between men and women once they enter into a relationship. According to him, this inevitability, signified by miscommunication, arguments, and general unhappiness, is characterized by struggles for power and lack of physical intimacy, and it is magnified by what he calls “the inevitability of life and its travails”. Just when the discussion turns bleakest, the book offers a glimpse of optimism, exploring the multiple attitudes that both men and women can take when it comes to romantic involvement, both positive and negative.
“In a relationship, the one who holds the power is the person who cares the least,” Rawlings says. “And this truism can be recognized at every level of any type of relationship. This reflection, along with many others in ‘It Really Is That Complicated,’ will help readers deal with their relationships and society’s expectations of what relationships should be.”
