Author Charles Lightcap Releases His Gripping Novel, “Forbidden”
Bucks County, PA. (PRWEB) October 18, 2013 -- In the late 1800’s, a silent plague swept this American farmland and created pain, disfigurement and shame; this unspoken disease is Leprosy. Those who suffered from it were shunned, reviled and were ultimately doomed. Author Charles Lightcap’s “Forbidden” (published by iUniverse) explores the fictional community of lepers in this highly imaginative novel.
In this book, the fear of the rural farming community turns to the unthinkable. Each time a baby is born with leprosy, horror rears its ugly face. To protect the perceived purity of their crops, the farmers hide the afflicted, using them in the shadows to harvest.
When these children grow and age, they become so hideous that the farming community decide the best thing to do is to banish the http://www..kenyon.edu/projects/margin/lepers.htm [lepers] within their own colony in the woods. In a moment of horrific self-preservation, the ultimate decision is made to eradicate the afflicted. That moment of pure terror creates the stuff of legend and conjecture that will take the readers for an exciting ride that they will never forget. They will get to know Grace and the “Lone Creature” that roams the land.
Intriguing and captivating, “Forbidden” unveils a thrilling story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats to the very last word.
