It gives practical Bible-based examples of not only living through traumatic experiences but also how to find peace and joy in their midst.

Charles M. Ridulph marks his debut in the publishing scene with a new book featuring “The Impact” (published by Balboa Press). Inspired from his personal life experiences, this narrative proves to readers that tragedy does not need to prevail with God as the benevolent guide.

Tragedy and challenges will always be part of life, and healing from such is a lifelong process, Ridulph shares. However, “The Impact” shows that a person does not have to continue to be a victim, but that victory is at hand. This book chronicles how God intervenes in every person’s story so that life would be defined by his grace rather than the world’s tragedies.

“‘The Impact’ is unique in that it blends personal experience with scripture and prayer in an easy-to-read format. It is powerful in how it details the impact of tragedy over a sixty-year time lapse. It gives practical Bible-based examples of not only living through traumatic experiences but also how to find peace and joy in their midst,” the author points out. “This is an evil world in which we live and that tragedy abounds. But in the midst of the darkness the light of Jesus Christ shines brightly. Evil hurts but will not prevail. The victory has been won!”

A snippet from the book reads:
The night my sister Maria was kidnapped is forever etched in my mind. I see myself standing there. I remember every knock at the door. But the snow, that light snow which invited Maria and Kathy to go out and play that night, that snow I don’t remember. I saw it. I walked in it. I touched it. But I don’t remember it. The beauty of the snow escaped me. It was overshadowed by the evil which was unfolding.
