Attorney Bill Tapella of Tapella & Eberspacher law firm in Charleston, Illinois spoke at this year’s Illinois Trial Lawyers Association annual convention. The talk was titled “Who is the Agent?” Tapella discussed the legal doctrine respondeat superior.
Tapella was one of eight speakers at the event, which qualifies for 4.25 Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) hours, which all attorneys are required to fulfill. Other speakers discussed a variety of legal matters, including Workers’ Compensation and medical and hospital liens.
“Bill Tapella has spoken at events like this several times,” said Rick Hall, Business Manager at Tapella & Eberspacher. “He enjoys the opportunity to participate in these seminars and comes well prepared for these topics.”
Tapella’s involvement in the seminar is one of the ways that the firm participates in sharing knowledge through teaching others as well as reinforcing and enriching their own knowledge of the field.
“This is one indication of involvement that our firm has beyond just practicing law,” added Hall. “The culture of our firm promotes involvement in our profession as instructors or participating on various boards of both county and state bar associations. Our firm encourages all employees to become involved in civic activities in the communities in which they live and serve."
Tapella is a member of a number of several organizations, which relate to the practice areas that focus on Alton injury attorneys and Springfield personal injury lawyer cases, including medical malpractice, product liability, and wrongful death. He is also an A.V. Preeminent rated attorney, which is a peer-review rating that indicates Tapella’s expertise and professionalism.
Hall said "After attending the seminar several of the lawyers and judges attended an evening St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds ball game."
