Launching their Hope & Toys Bring Holiday Joy campaign, the agency is collecting Christmas gifts for children of all ages at their three locations. Partnering with Kids First of the Carolinas through donations made at their Charlotte, NC offices and Toys for Happiness, a United Way initiative, through their Rock Hill and Fort Mill, SC offices, Corey Hinson & Associates hopes to provide a more magical Christmas for local children in need. Toys for Happiness is an initiative of the well known, and highly esteemed, international organization United Way. For over 70 years, the York County chapter has been improving the lives of countless people in the region. They also collect and distribute toys for area children in need at Christmas. Kids First of the Carolinas is a grass-roots, nonprofit organization begun 20 years ago by 2 local mothers who wanted to help local children and families in need. They receive no local, state or federal funding, and therefore rely on a team of dedicated volunteers and the donations of compassionate community members, in order to work their magic. From school supplies, clothing and food, to furniture and appliances, Kids First provides for basic needs on a very immediate basis. Christmas poses a particular challenge for families in need. If providing food and warm clothing is a challenge for these families, how can they possibly give their children Christmas presents? In 2015, Kids First provided Christmas gifts to over 700 children. They hope to continue to grow and give even more children the excitement of presents under the tree this year. But they need help.
