“All children need to have confidence, hope, encouragement and most of all, love,” says Charlotte Sustar and this is one of the core messages that she underscores in her new book, “The Love Bunny's” (published by AuthorHouse). A treasure trove of vibrant characters, charming illustrations and principles from the Bible, this storybook will teach children important values while letting them know that they are loved and special.
“The Love Bunny's” is a children’s book presenting three typical personalities in the form of the three main characters: Runner, the oldest bunny, jumps into things without thinking about the consequences and thus constantly gets into trouble; Mellow is the peacemaker in the family; and Emosha is oftentimes emotional and fearful. Through the experiences and interactions of these characters, readers will learn how to respond to and overcome different situations. Ultimately, the story teaches love and the importance of trusting in God.
Sustar has always had a passion to help children – she was a part of a children’s ministry in the inner city for 17 years – and “The Love Bunny's” is a product of that calling.
“Through ‘The Love Bunny’s,’ I pray that children will know the power and love of Jesus. I hope to encourage them to read His word and believe in Him,” she says.
Insightful and beautifully illustrated, “The Love Bunny's” is a heartwarming fable that is as much a story for parents as it is for children.
