Cheerleading Blog Poll Results

The polls are a great way for the blog to interact with readers and understand what the focus and interests are of today’s cheerleaders.

According to the most recent online poll from Cheerleading Blog, supported in part by cheer company Chassé, a majority of the blog’s readers don’t prefer cheering for one sport to another. As long as they’re cheering, they’re happy.

The survey, which was conducted on the Cheerleading Blog website, asked readers their favorite sport to cheer for. The option “as long as I’m cheering, I don’t care!” accounted for 46% of votes. The second most popular choice was football with 35% of votes. The other two options, “basketball” and “my fellow cheer teams” received a much lower 10% and 9% of votes.

“The results of this poll confirm our beliefs that cheerleaders just love cheering. It doesn’t matter where or when, as long as they boosting the crowd’s spirits and performing, they’re content,” said Melissa Darcey, Cheerleading Blog editor. “We also weren’t surprised to see that football was the second most popular choice. Football season is always exciting for cheerleaders, especially since so many have NFL cheer dreams.”

As September approaches, so does football season. This past month on the blog, many articles have focused on how to create, teach, and learn sideline cheers, as well as tips for spirit, whether it’s at a pep rally or fundraising event.

The poll, which was conducted this past month, was posted on the home page of the blog as well in a dedicated article. A new poll is posted each month on the blog and the results are revealed the following month.

“The polls are a great way for the blog to interact with readers and understand what the focus and interests are of today’s cheerleaders. Many of the blog posts are geared towards the latest interests, issues, and topics facing cheerleaders,” said Jessica Rzeszut, Chassé marketing manager.

The full results of the poll can be viewed on Cheerleading Blog’s website. The latest poll is now open for voting.
