Of his book, Crane writes, I would hope to promote the idea that Christmas is more than a time of receiving, but rather more of a time of giving oneself.

In C. H. Crane’s exciting new book, “A Christmas Quest: A Young Boy's Unexpected Christmas Vacation” (published by Trafford Publishing), three friends team up to save Christmas while learning the true meaning of the holidays and the customs and traditions of the past.

“Not only does the story bring to life current Christmas customs and traditions,” Crane writes, “but it also blends in the mystery that surrounds Christmases of the past, allowing the story to build to an exciting and heart pounding climax.”

It’s finally Christmas vacation for Tim, his cousin Natalie and best friend Stretch, but this year, Tim’s Christmas spirit is unusually low. He doesn’t want to decorate the tree, write a letter to Santa Claus or even help Stretch build a Santa-trapping contraption, which they build every year. One day, Tim and his friends are visited by Alexander, a member of the Secret Society of Santa’s Snowmen, who needs their help. Jester, an evil entity, is challenging Santa for control of the Christmas holiday. It’s up to Tim, Stretch and Natalie to band together and save Christmas from the evil Jester.

“A Christmas Quest” combines mystery and adventure together with a heartfelt message about the true meaning of Christmas that will resonate with young readers. Crane also includes many Christmas customs from around the world and those no longer practiced.

Of his book, Crane writes, “I would hope to promote the idea that Christmas is more than a time of receiving, but rather more of a time of giving of oneself.”
