“Through our partnership with Cheetah Medical we are able to continue educating healthcare providers about appropriate and life-saving treatments for sepsis, which is the leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals,” said Thomas Heymann.

Sepsis Alliance, the nation’s leading sepsis organization, and Cheetah Medical, a Massachusetts-based leader in non-invasive fluid management, today announced their partnership to improve outcomes for sepsis patients through support of healthcare provider education. Sepsis is the body’s life-threatening response to infection that affects 1.7 million people in the United States each year.

Cheetah Medical is providing unrestricted educational support for Sepsis Alliance’s March 28, 2019, webinar, Fluid Resuscitation and Sepsis. This webinar will review evidence-based fluid management strategies for adult and pediatric patients with sepsis and septic shock. It is part of Sepsis Alliance’s Sepsis: Across the Continuum of Care Webinar Series. This series provides education on sepsis and related topics for healthcare providers across the entire continuum of care, from critical care to home care staff.

“Through our partnership with Cheetah Medical we are able to continue educating healthcare providers about appropriate and life-saving treatments for sepsis, which is the leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals,” said Thomas Heymann.

Cheetah Medical is also a sponsor of Sepsis Alliance’s 8th Annual Sepsis Heroes gala, which will take place on September 12, 2019, in New York City, NY. This annual event, timed to coincide with Sepsis Awareness Month, honors Sepsis Heroes who have made a significant contribution to sepsis awareness and education among both the general public and healthcare professionals.

“Cheetah is proud to be associated with the Sepsis Alliance. Their efforts to raise awareness of the importance of early identification and appropriate treatment of sepsis can improve clinical outcomes for millions of people worldwide,” said Chris Hutchison, CEO of Cheetah Medical.
