The Chicago personal injury law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. is now accepting entries for its second annual Law School Scholarship Essay Contest, which will feature a new public voting system and a combined $5,000 in awards.
“Our goal is to support students’ educational efforts while raising awareness about important issues that our law firm encounters on a daily basis,” said Patrick A. Salvi, the firm’s Managing Equity Partner.
“We were pleased to receive several outstanding essays in last year’s inaugural contest, and we look forward to reading the essays that we will be receiving from students in the coming weeks.”
To enter the contest, law school students must submit their essay and a complete application package by the deadline of Monday, June 9, 2014. The essay must address one of three topics listed and described in detail on the firm’s website. The topics focus on:
The contest judges will pick the three top essays and post them on SalviLaw.com on Monday, June 16, 2014. The three finalists will then have 30 days, or until Wednesday, July 16, 2014, to garner social media votes for their essays and to request citations (links) from relevant and appropriate sources.
On Monday, July 21, 2014, the winners will be announced, including the $2,500 first-place winner, $1,500 second-place winner, $500 third-place winner and five honorable mention winners, who will receive prizes of $100 each.
The funds are to be used to pay for law school tuition and / or law school-related expenses.
