Shena’s Story
Shena is a seven-year-old, Boxer/Lab mix, who has been waiting more than a year to be adopted. Despite being victim of animal cruelty, she loves belly rubs, head pats and gives great kisses. She is one of Animal House Shelter’s favorites.
According to the ASPCA, over 6.5 million pets like Sheena enter animal shelters every year. Even though this number has declined in the last decade, the reality is that only 23% of dogs are adopted from animal shelters and humane societies.
