Joe Schneider Agency Community Program Introduces a New Charity Campaign in Chicago to Help Keep an 18-Year-Old Cancer Patient's Dream Alive of Serving His Country

Trailing its social responsibility and acting on its alleged mission to act as ‘agents of change’ in the communities where it is inserted, Joe Schneider Agency selects another individual to benefit from their established Community Program in Chicago. 18-year-old Steven Smith will receive the proceeds raised by the agency with the help of outstanding customers, business partners, staff and friends, to help raise the necessary resources to pay for medical bills.

Joe Schneider Agency debuts the new charity campaign in its recognized Community Program in Chicago, and announces that will direct its efforts to raise funds for a remarkable young man with lymphoma, Steven Smith. The earnings of the campaign will be used to alleviate medical cost while lifting the spirits of this young man determined to beat cancer and fulfill his wish to join the navy. While patiently waiting to start serving his country, Steven Smith, started to feel discomfort in his leg in January. Doctors believed it was bursitis and prescribed him pain medicine. The meds temporarily helped, but Steven could barely walk just days before he was to leave for boot camp on March 26th. A biopsy revealed a tumor in his leg and a biopsy revealed lymphoma. On April 29th, he started a 14 week long chemotherapy process at a Chicago hospital.

Through the agency’s network of customers, business partners, friends, staff and family, the initiative to spread the word about Steven’s need and will also bring awareness about lymphoma. Joe Schneider Insurance Agency will employ its valuable resources and reach out to the community, appealing on behalf of the Smith family, so that the $2,000 goal can be met, and Steven’s dream come true. The campaign will be promoted over the course of the next 45 days, through the agency’s social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in Chicago, where the agency currently operates. The Community Program held by Joe Schneider Insurance Agency will continue to highlight and support people in need in their community. Every 60 days, a new campaign will be launched, in collaboration with local non-profits and community members.
